The pantry is open to anyone in need. These guidelines help identify families and individuals who we can best serve. We ask that households meet at least one guideline at the time they receive food assistance.

  • You are unable to meet your basic living expenses (rent, utilities, etc.) and buy food this month.
  • You qualify to receive aid from federal or state agencies, such as AFDC, food stamps, WIC, etc.
  • You have an acute or chronic illness or have been in an accident that makes it difficult or impossible to work at the present time.
  • You have lost your job within the past month.
  • You are homeless.
  • You are 55 or older.
  • There is a pregnant or nursing mother in your household.
  • You are a single parent who does not receive child support or did not receive any this month.
  • Your our income falls at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. In 2008 this translates to the following for a family of...
      (1) $20,800/year or $1,733/month
      (2) $28,000/year or $2,333/month
      (3) $35,200/year or $2,933/month
      (4) $42,400/year or $3,533/month
      (5) $49,600/year or $4,133/month
      (6) $56,800/year or $4,733/month
      (7) $64,000/year or $5,333/month
      (8) $71,200/year or $5,933/month
      *For each additional person add $7,200/year.
