COVID-19 Operating Policies and Procedures

  • Ongoing Staff Precautions

    • Per CDC recommendations, staff is required to wear a face mask while onsite and maintain social distancing of 6 feet as much as possible.

    • Throughout the day, staff continually sanitize high use surfaces and are keeping the truck bay doors open for ventilation.

    • To limit exposure, MHC is not currently accepting volunteers and is running all operations with a staff of 11.

    • Staff members are expected to observe all CDC guidelines outside of the workplace and disclose any potential exposure.

    • Staff are regularly getting COVID tested to ensure safety and allow us to remain open.

  • Exposure Policy

    • If any staff member exhibits symptoms, they are required to stay home until testing negative. 

    • Should any staff member be exposed to COVID-19, they are required to remain home for two weeks and obtain two negative tests before returning to work.

    • If anyone on staff tests positive, MHC will close to the public for a minimum of two weeks or until it is safe for us to re-open.

  • Pantry Shopping Policies

    • ​All shoppers and community members are required to wear a mask at all times onsite.

    • We ask that if a patron is exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, please either send a family member, friend, neighbor, or shopper from Helping Hands to pick up your groceries.
