Volunteer at the Hub
We are currently accepting panty volunteers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. All volunteers and staff must wear a mask while on site and provide proof of vaccination.

Pantry Volunteer
It takes many hands to run the Hub Food Pantry! Volunteers assist with a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to: packing boxes, sorting produce, stocking, working the front desk, assisting patrons in the pantry, repackaging bulk goods. Lifting abilities preferred but not required.
Time Commitment: 2 hours per week, every week
Days and Times: There are pantry shifts open Tuesdays-Thursday, 12pm-6pm.
Families are welcome to volunteer together as a group.

Community Garden Volunteer
Come help us grow food for the food pantry while learning how to garden organically! Weekly workdates provide a space for gardeners of all abilities and experience levels to enjoy planting, harvesting, weeding, composting, maintenance and more. Tasks vary according to season, as we garden from April through October. Volunteers are welcome to drop in to any of the work dates listed on our Community Garden page; come once or join us the whole season! Kids under 12 are welcome with adult supervision.
Time Commitment: 1-2 hours, once or twice per week
Days and Times: April-October, Wednesdays 4-6 pm & Fridays 11 am - 1 PM at the Hub's Pantry Garden (any workdate cancellations will be posted on our Facebook)
Composting shifts are available all year long.

Cooking Program Volunteer
Cooking Program volunteers help make cooking ideas exciting and accessible for patrons! Cooking volunteers can prepare fresh samples for patrons to try during pantry hours, help promote nutrition workshops and seminars, help with our weekly Kids Cook classes, research and compile nutritional handout and recipes, or share your expert knowledge with our clients through your own class.
Time Commitment: 1-5 hours per week, according to volunteers’ schedules
Days and Times: During pantry hours for some activities, other activities according to volunteers schedules.

Tool Share Volunteer
The Hub's Tool Share program builds access to home gardening, cooking, and food preservation by offering a free lending library to food pantry patrons. Volunteers promote the tools available in the Tool Share by offering demonstrations with available cooking and gardening tools.
Time Commitment: 2 - 4 hours per week
Days and Times: Flexible

Group and Special Project Proposals
The Hub has limited capacity to work with individuals and groups on projects, so we'd like to make sure the project aligns with our values as an organization. We ask that potential partners fill out this form to help our staff understand proposed projects. To submit a proposal, please follow the link below.
